About Me
I got my start in reviewing indie video games for seven years, and then wound up working in indie game publishing for another eight. Before that, I was a cake decorator and a baker. Go figure. Now I produce video games for a living and own a sword.
In my previous role as Director of Games at indie publisher Armor Games Studios, I have helped launch over 30 titles across PC, console, and mobile, and have worked extensively with business development, marketing, and all other aspects of publishing. I’ve managed a fully remote publishing team, and also worked remotely with developers from all over the world, on all genres of games. My last position was unfortunately impacted by company redundancy in February of 2024. I am currently open to remote work, either full or part time, including consultations. Check out Work With Me! for more details. Let’s make something cool together, big or small!
I believe making games is harder than it should be on our creators, and that they (both the games and the people who make them) should be able to be weirder and more imaginative than our industry often supports. Making games in general also needs to be more accessible than it is, to support and uplift a wider variety of voices and identities than are often given the spotlight.
The types of games I am most drawn to are often those that feature compelling, unique characters and narratives, but over the years I have developed an appreciation for almost every genre. Turn-based strategy games are just as awesome as character-driven RPGs, as long as they’re made with passion and are unafraid to be a little funky.
Some of my favorite games:
- EarthBound
- Tales from the Borderlands
- Slay the Spire
- Scarlet Hollow
- Road Not Taken
- X-Com 2
- Elden Ring
